HYDAC is a global provider of hydraulic and engineering solutions. With approximately 10,000 employees and over 50 subsidiaries, the company places great emphasis on seamless communication - especially for mobile field service and sales teams.


Missing contacts hinder communication


After migrating to Exchange Online, the usual access to the Microsoft Global Address List (GAL) was no longer possible from Active Directory. Consequently, phone numbers could no longer be automatically assigned to the correct people, and searches via the native Contacts and Phone apps did not work. Contacts were only available via manually maintained Outlook contacts - a cumbersome and error-prone process. This led to additional effort, complicated coordination, and delays in day-to-day work, particularly in sales.


Mobile access secured


Using sync.blue®, HYDAC was able to automate access to the Global Address List (GAL). The solution integrates seamlessly with Exchange Online and ensures that all contacts are managed centrally and automatically synced to mobile devices. As a result, contact information is always up to date and available natively in the smartphone address book, including reliable caller ID, without the need for manual maintenance or additional installations.
